Overview

The vibrant city of Bologna in northern Italy is known for its delicious food, stunning architecture and style. The Bolognese are great socialites, and ace dancers who love Bachata and Salsa. The resident Dominicans and Cubans add to the already colourful dance scene.

Bachata classes were at the Azucar Academy and were great fun!  The trip coincided with a huge month long national music, food and dance festival held in the city  that had plenty of Italian and Latin spirit!

  • Saturday 8 September - dance class with Beppe Candela 3 -6pm . Free morning for shopping & sightseeing, evening out
  • Sunday 9 September - dance class  with Franco Attanasio 4 - 6pm. Visit FestaUnita festival, evening out
  • Monday 10 September - am breakfast, then travel to airport

Overview

Italians love dancing, especially Bachata and Salsa, and do it with passion and style. These dances are firmly established in Italy and are even featured in the TV programme Ballando con le Stelle, their equivalent of Strictly Come Dancing.

This exciting weekend trip allowed us to participate in well-structured Bachata and Salsa classes with award winning teachers and to enjoy the endless Italian hospitality and mouth-watering food.

  • Friday 9 June - arrive Colletorto early eve, dinner then travel to Termoli beach for evening out
  • Saturday 10 June - dance class with Francesco Ciavarra & Teresa Cappiello (Freedance) 10 - 12 am, lunch, pm Termoli shopping then evening out
  • Sunday 11 June - Termoli,  dance class at beach with Daniela de Francesco 10 - 1 pm, lunch, leisure time at beach, eve back to Colletorto for dinner and local festival
  • Monday 12 June - am breakfast and leisure time Colletorto, travel to Pescara airport
